About us

We started this year.
We intend to still be here in ten.

LONAJ GROUP is a Gauteng company supplying cleaning, stationery and general supply, and construction subcontracting. We are new, we are building deliberately, and every contract we take on turns into work for someone in Johannesburg or Pretoria.

Why we started

The gap we kept seeing

There is no shortage of cleaning companies and stationery suppliers in Gauteng. There is a shortage of ones that turn up when they said they would, quote in writing, and answer the phone when something goes wrong.

LONAJ GROUP was started to be the supplier we kept wishing existed — small enough that the owner is personally accountable for every site, organised enough to be audited, and compliant enough to be awarded real contracts.

We are honest about being new. What we are not is unprepared. Our registrations, our documented processes and our pricing were built before we took on a single client, because those are the things that decide whether a supplier lasts.

And there is a second reason. Unemployment in this province is not an abstraction — it is the people we grew up with. Every contract we win is a job we can create. That is the actual point of the business.

A real photograph of the founder goes here. Not a stock image, and not an AI-generated one.

How we operate

Four rules we do not bend

These are not aspirations on a wall. They are the specific decisions we have already made about how this company runs.

Say the true thing

We would rather lose a contract by admitting we cannot do something than win it and fail in month two. Every claim on this website is one you can verify.

Write it down

Scopes of work, checklists, incident reports, quotes. If it was agreed, it exists on paper. Nobody should have to rely on remembering a conversation.

Answer quickly

Four business hours, every time. Speed is the one advantage a new company genuinely has over a large one, and we intend to keep it.

Employ people properly

Registered employment, UIF and COIDA cover, paid on time. Informal labour is cheaper and we will not do it.

The honest case

We are a new company.
Here is why that works for you.

We have no decade-long client list, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we do have is the things that actually determine whether a contract runs well.

01

You deal with the owner

There is no account manager between you and the person accountable for the work. When you call, you reach someone who can make a decision.

02

You are not one of two hundred sites

Established suppliers spread supervision thin across a large book. Your contract is a meaningful share of ours, so it gets attention that is difficult to buy elsewhere.

03

We answer in hours, not days

Every enquiry gets a response within 4 business hours. It is the one advantage a new company can prove immediately, so we put it in writing.

04

Our pricing reflects where we are

We are building a track record, and we price accordingly. You get established-supplier standards without an established supplier's margin.

05

Everything is documented

Scopes of work, checklists, incident reports and invoices — because a new supplier should be easier to audit than an old one, not harder.

06

We are building local jobs

Every contract we win becomes employment in Johannesburg and Pretoria. Awarding work to us has a measurable local outcome you can report on.

Where we are going

Our growth plan, stated plainly

We are publishing this so you can hold us to it — and so you know exactly what stage you would be buying into.

  1. Now

    First contracts and first hires

Taking on cleaning contracts and supply orders across Johannesburg and Pretoria, and building our first permanent teams. Completing our statutory registrations as we go.

  2. Next

    Supervision structure and equipment

A dedicated supervisor per metro, our own industrial equipment rather than hired, and a stockholding for fast-moving consumables so lead times shorten.

  3. Then

    Subcontracting at scale

CIDB registration and a labour pool sized for construction packages, so we can be awarded larger site work under main contractors.

Jobs

We are hiring as we grow
